Lady sofa is just like the Lady chair a symbol of an era: it marks the advent of modernity to the world of upholstered furniture in the early Fifties. In its manufacturing technique and in its styling, Lady is an emblematic expression of the renewal that traditional furnishings were undergoing at the time.
Lady won the gold medal at the IX Triennale in 1951 and came to symbolize the new tastes that were emerging.
Metal structure with injection moulded polyurethane foam padding and polyester fibre with adhesive velveteen. Solid wood armrests covered with stress-resistant differentiated density polyurethane foam and polyester fibre with adhesive velveteen. Springing by means of reinforced elastic straps. Metal legs, painted aluminium colour.
Wooden frame and foam rubber upholstery, metal legs.
